What you will do

• Architect extensible frameworks for running quantum experiments and analyzing scientific data.
• Develop and maintain calibration nodes to support the scaling of quantum devices.
• Optimize experiment and analysis tools to improve throughput and performance.
• Create dashboards for experimentalists to monitor and control quantum device calibration states.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure supporting complex scientific workflows.
• Mentor scientists and contribute to documentation to foster a collaborative codebase.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco, CA.
• Must meet U.S. export control requirements (Citizen, Green Card holder, or eligible for export license).
• PhD or 6+ years of applied research experience.
• 1+ years of experience with calibration for experimental quantum computing.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience working with scientists in a research environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with quantum control hardware and quantum simulation.
• Familiarity with AWS services, SQL, GraphQL, and React.
• Experience with machine learning and AI applications.
• Background in open-source scientific software development.
