What you will do

• Set and defend the design vision, language, and quality standards for consumer and merchant-facing products.
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of product designers while establishing a scalable design culture and process.
• Own the design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across all platforms.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to integrate design into every stage of the development cycle.
• Drive user research and usability testing practices to ground design decisions in actual user behavior.
• Act as a strategic design voice in executive conversations to articulate the business value of exceptional UX.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product design experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading design teams at a fast-growing technology company.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end leadership for consumer or B2B products.
• Deep expertise in design systems, interaction design, and visual design.
• Must be based in San Francisco, CA for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and align engineering and product teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or enterprise SaaS design.
• Fluency in AI-native building, including prototyping in code and using AI tools for UX concepts.
