What you will do

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and container technologies.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards.
• Lead hands-on development, perform code reviews, and mentor engineering team members.
• Adopt an AI-first approach to accelerate development and enable intelligent call handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-grade solutions.
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues across the stack.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Manchester, UK.
• Strong experience in Java development and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building production-ready APIs using OpenAPI (Swagger).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of AI concepts and frameworks within software development.
