Location: Must be based in Budapest, Hungary. Frequent travel (up to 4 months per year) to various global locations is required.

What you will do
- Lead internal audit and advisory assignments at field and headquarters locations.
- Plan audit engagements, including risk assessment, scope determination, and resource allocation.
- Execute audit work using best practice techniques and digital tools, ensuring high-quality documentation.
- Prepare concise, high-quality audit reports with cost-effective recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations by assurance clients.
- Manage and coach audit team members to ensure timely delivery and professional development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, risk management, or IT.
- Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent (CPA, CA, CISA).
- 8 years of relevant work experience in internal or external auditing.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must be able to undertake frequent and extended travel to difficult duty stations.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
- Experience working in developing countries and international development.
- Relevant experience in humanitarian or fragile settings.
