TL;DR
Mission Analyst (Automotive): Executing complex vehicle evaluation missions and managing software states for automated driving technologies with an accent on real-time troubleshooting and high-fidelity data acquisition. Focus on validating prototype firmware, performing system diagnostics, and managing the bug lifecycle to improve autonomous driving systems.
Location: Onsite in Palo Alto, CA. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
Salary: $29.15 - $43.73 per hour

What you will do
- Lead and execute comprehensive test routes and maneuvers based on engineering test plans.
- Perform software updates, module flashing, and configuration changes using CANalyzer and Vehicle Spy.
- Identify software defects and manage the bug lifecycle through detailed Jira tickets.
- Validate prototype firmware and maintain instrumentation systems and sensor installations.
- Gather diagnostic data using Linux terminal and monitor onboard logging equipment.
- Provide coaching to team members and represent the organization during public road testing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in vehicle testing, automotive technology, or prototype systems validation.
- Proficiency with Jira, Linux terminal, GitHub, and automotive diagnostic hardware.
- Hands-on experience with electrical system troubleshooting, wiring, and sensor installation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
- Ability to pass a ten-panel drug screen and criminal background check.

- Experience with fully electric vehicles (EV) and embedded software systems.
- Prior experience in technical driving or fleet operations.
- Professional motorsports or high-performance vehicle experience.
- Advanced wiring and fabrication skills.
