Payroll Specialist & Tutor

Location: Fully remote, based in Petersfield, with regular travel across the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays

What you will do

• Deliver engaging payroll training virtually, face-to-face, and through webinars.
• Use practical examples and real-life scenarios for learners with different experience levels and learning styles.
• Assess learners, mark assignments, provide feedback, and support qualification programmes.
• Help design and develop courses, learning objectives, training materials, publications, and member-facing content.
• Provide payroll expertise through technical updates, insights, events, and member meetings.
• Monitor payroll legislation and industry developments, with potential to expand into international payroll delivery.

Requirements

• Recent and substantial hands-on payroll experience as a credible subject-matter expert.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and its practical impact.
• Proven experience delivering presentations and training to learners with varied experience levels and learning styles.
• Experience delivering training face-to-face, online, and through webinars.
• Excellent written communication and strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Fully mobile and willing to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays. Comfortable working alongside AI tools.

Nice to have

• Formal knowledge of training and facilitation techniques.
• Experience with IPASS or equivalent Irish payroll qualifications.
• Understanding of payroll operations in organisations of different sizes.
