What you will do

• Administer bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls for 50–500 employees.
• Validate time entries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions before each run.
• Post payroll transactions into accounting systems and reconcile clearing accounts.
• Prepare and submit federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Reconcile healthcare and retirement benefit contributions with provider invoices.
• Generate recurring payroll reports and support audit documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in South Africa.
• Must be available to work in U.S. client time zones.
• 2+ years of professional payroll processing experience.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or QuickBooks.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Solid knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations.

Nice to have

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
