What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality, scalable technical solutions across multiple hirify.global services.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to foster team growth and maintain high engineering standards.
• Own system health and quality, including participation in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Write architecture proposals, conduct code experiments, and design APIs for seamless component integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive technical roadmaps and ensure security and compliance.
• Utilize telemetry and debugging tools to optimize performance and resolve complex system issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• Proven experience (5-9+ years depending on education) in software engineering delivering production-grade software.
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture, microservices, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and operational excellence.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and partner effectively with product and design teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building large Ruby on Rails, Go, or React applications.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Experience leveraging agentic AI in end-to-end applications.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases and operating software at scale.
