Salary: $166,500–$319,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Define and drive roadmaps for next-generation photonic devices aligned with customer and business needs.
• Architect and design advanced photonic building blocks, subsystems, and integrated photonics platforms.
• Translate system-level requirements into industrialized device-level and platform-level innovations.
• Partner with customers, architects, photonics development teams, fab and foundry teams on next-generation systems.
• Align device design, process technology, packaging, testing, manufacturing yield, reliability, and scalability.
• Track photonics, AI interconnect, and advanced optical systems trends while mentoring junior architects and engineers.

Requirements

• Advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in photonic devices and integrated photonics, including system-level implications.
• Experience spanning device, system, and manufacturing domains in a product-driven environment.
• Ability to work credibly with customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Track record of converting advanced technology concepts into product-relevant outcomes on aggressive timelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as needed.
