What you will do

• Advance the modern Android-based system stack for edge devices.
• Optimize cellular connectivity (LTE/5G) and power consumption for outdoor hardware.
• Debug complex system-level issues across hardware, kernel drivers, and user-space applications.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Product, and Cloud teams to triage fleet anomalies.
• Design and implement features to improve field performance and network observability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems or OS-level development.
• Deep expertise in low-level Android OS architectures (AOSP/Custom ROMs).
• Strong practical knowledge of SELinux security policies and permissions management.
• Hands-on experience with cellular stacks, including LTE/5G modems, RIL, and AT commands.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification, including a fingerprint-based background check.

Nice to have

• Specific experience with Qualcomm chipsets and associated software tools.
• Strong proficiency in networking technologies like TCP/IP and routing.
• Experience with telemetry and data analysis for engineering decisions.
