What you will do

• Assist licensed/certified staff in preparing specimens (blood tubes, tissue) for testing.
• Receive, deliver, and route specimens to appropriate workflows/labs while considering turnaround time.
• Maintain organization of samples through physical and electronic storage and disposal.
• Enter patient data accurately into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) and prepare samples for shipment.
• Maintain lab inventory, materials, and supplies; clean equipment and benches.
• Support compliance by handling PHI (paper and electronic), completing training on time, and participating in continuous improvement (TAG, 5S).

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Science-related degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year industry-related experience preferred.
• Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training as soon as possible but no later than the first 30 days of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; professional communication in a team setting.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
