AI Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design and deliver internal developer platforms (IDPs) to improve developer experience and accelerate delivery.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS), including multi-tenancy, networking, and RBAC.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK.
• Develop MLOps pipelines and infrastructure for AI workloads, including GPU node pools and vector databases.
• Embed SRE practices such as SLOs, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and coach client engineers through pairing and workshops.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and the ecosystem (Helm, ArgoCD, Flux).
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Practical experience designing and operating CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Comfort with Linux environments and automation in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Must be based in or able to work from London on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure (Kubeflow, MLflow, Ray).
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock) and vector databases.
• Experience with event-streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or AWS Solutions Architect.
• Prior experience in technical consultancy or client-facing delivery.
