What you will do

• Lead and deliver features of any size, coordinating efforts across the squad.
• Drive technical discovery and solution design in collaboration with PMs and Tech Leads.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code review, and feedback.
• Contribute to the Backend Guild through knowledge sharing and brainstorming sessions.
• Champion improvements to engineering processes, maintainability, and quality standards.
• Participate in Scrum rituals and maintain high quality of production systems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building enterprise-grade backend web applications.
• Proficiency in Go or a strong willingness to transition to Go (hard requirement).
• Strong architectural instincts with in-depth knowledge of REST API design and PostgreSQL.
• Experience owning maintenance, performance, and security for large-scale production systems.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and modern testing techniques.
• Must be based in Berlin or willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes running on Google Cloud.
• Practical experience with AI and automation adaptation.
