Software Quality Engineer – UI & API Testing

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of working an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office; the requirements also mention an onsite model of 5 days per week.

What you will do

• Test, validate, and automate Web GUI and REST API functionality across the Mist Cloud platform.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automated UI and API test suites.
• Perform staging smoke tests, production validations, and regression testing.
• Analyze UI and API architecture to identify quality, stability, design, and test-coverage gaps.
• Track defects and enhancements, collaborate with developers, and convert customer-reported issues into regression test cases.
• Maintain test plans, test environments, automation reporting, and technical documentation for QA and Support teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance or software testing.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong Python programming skills and solid programming fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and pytest.
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, status reporting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• UI and API troubleshooting experience.
• Experience writing detailed regression test cases.
• Familiarity with Django RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of networking technologies.
