Software Development Engineer II (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States. Hybrid work with an in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week.

Salary: $144,000–$180,000 starting base salary annually, plus equity and other compensation components.

What you will do

• Build AI-powered experiences that help customers send money and complete tasks across the website, mobile app, WhatsApp, and other external platforms.
• Enable money-transfer functionality on third-party platforms and contribute to a conversational AI platform used across the business.
• Gather requirements, clarify technical designs, and prototype, validate, and scale AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement modular APIs, data-storage solutions, and third-party integrations.
• Identify root causes of software failures, propose technical trade-offs, and surface risks early.
• Improve software deployment, documentation, testing, logging, monitoring, code reviews, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures.
• Knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java or Golang.
• Experience with software development practices, system design, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
