What you will do
- Provide technical leadership for the architecture, development, and deployment of secure, scalable AI-powered software solutions.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of software developers and data scientists.
- Advocate for AI adoption across the organization and improve internal AI literacy.
- Establish best practices for AI-native development, including CI/CD, observability, and security.
- Own the AI product roadmap and prioritize initiatives aligned with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada.
- Post-secondary education in Computing Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Practical experience delivering AI-enabled products with a focus on quality and scalability.
- Strong understanding of AI subject matters such as NLP, RAG, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership to align technical work with company goals.
Nice to have
- Hands-on knowledge of the existing tech stack: C#, .NET 7+, Vue, TypeScript, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices and Scrum.
- Familiarity with organizational change management and developer enablement initiatives.
