Salary: $210,000 - $220,000 + equity

What you will do

• Build and operate the AWS GovCloud environment for federal customers, covering foundational network architecture to production-ready infrastructure.
• Design and implement repeatable infrastructure-as-code to provision dedicated customer environments.
• Manage the container image pipeline, including hardening, scanning, and promoting FIPS-compliant images.
• Collaborate with assessment partners to produce documentation and evidence for FedRAMP authorization.
• Define security boundaries that allow engineering teams to ship code and respond to incidents without compromising compliance.
• Support self-hosted federal customers in CMMC environments, including handling complex escalations.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and perform work while located within the United States.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering with deep AWS fluency.
• Hands-on experience designing VPC architectures and operating AWS native services in production.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CDK or Terraform) in compliance-regulated environments like FedRAMP or CMMC.
• Strong understanding of container image hardening, vulnerability scanning, and provenance.
• Ability to write clear technical plans, runbooks, and operational documentation for compliance assessments.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with AWS GovCloud.
• Experience sitting through compliance assessments and answering assessor questions with evidence.
