What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services using an AI-first workflow.
• Plan tasks and articulate intent to AI agents, treating them as the primary implementation tool.
• Review and validate AI-generated code with high rigor to ensure correctness and stability.
• Implement meaningful test coverage and contribute to a robust CI/CD process.
• Collaborate across teams to own outcomes from development through to production stability.
• Contribute to system effectiveness by identifying patterns and flagging cross-team dependencies.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience building web applications, backend services, or APIs.
• Proven experience using AI agents in a professional workflow, including planning, prompting, and evaluation.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code and take full ownership of shipped features.
• Strong point of view on the practical application of AI in software engineering.
• Experience working in agile, CI/CD environments with a focus on reliable, well-tested software.
• Must be based in the US, Canada, UK, or Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP/Laravel, AWS Serverless, or Vue.js.
