What you will do

• Take custody of the incident process, including on-call quality, post-mortems, and reducing incident resolution times.
• Automate high-consequence, low-frequency operations to improve system reliability and reduce risk.
• Own a specific platform domain such as Temporal, observability, or Kubernetes operations.
• Manage external vendor relationships and third-party integrations to ensure resilience.
• Lead FinOps initiatives to improve cloud cost visibility and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Strong production operations experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in MongoDB and scripting/automation using Python.
• Operations-and-reliability mindset with the ability to engineer solutions rather than performing manual tasks.
• Sound judgment under pressure during incidents and risk management.
• Ability to influence through relationships and evidence-based decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience with vendor and cost management.
• Knowledge of Temporal.
