What you will do

  • Define and execute the long-term Stop Loss operating model, strategic vision, and departmental goals.
  • Drive financial performance by optimizing claim filings and eliminating financial leakage.
  • Sponsor large-scale system implementations, automation strategies, and workflow redesigns.
  • Oversee the full claim lifecycle, including high-risk carrier negotiations and complex escalations.
  • Develop advanced analytics and reporting to surface actionable insights on reimbursement trends.
  • Lead and coach a multi-level leadership team, focusing on succession planning and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or available to work on-site in Tempe, AZ on a full-time basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Stop Loss, TPA, or healthcare claims with reimbursement expertise.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing other managers.
  • Expert knowledge of stop loss operations and claims adjudication.
  • Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
