What you will do

• Support game teams by solving complex netcode-related issues.
• Analyze and optimize bandwidth and latency for networked game features.
• Investigate and implement architectural improvements to the netcode.
• Increase the overall responsiveness of networked gameplay features.
• Extend the tool-chain used for analyzing and debugging gameplay network issues.
• Advise and guide designers during the creation and improvement of networked features.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with multithreaded software development in C/C++.
• Solid understanding of client/server architectures within a gaming context.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including replication, authority, prediction, and correction.
• Experience building performant and scalable networking systems for games.
• Ability to build game features resilient to real-world packet loss and latency.
