Senior Fullstack Developer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Developer (React/Python/AWS): Designing, building, and securing modern containerized applications within a DoD cloud environment with an accent on cloud-native architecture and DevSecOps. Focus on automating infrastructure as code, integrating RESTful APIs, and migrating legacy systems to AWS GovCloud.

Location: Hybrid (50% onsite) in Charlottesville, VA. Requires TS/SCI Clearance and U.S. citizenship.

What you will do

• Design and deploy secure, cloud-native applications using React, TypeScript, and Python within AWS GovCloud.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to connect mission-critical and enterprise systems.
• Containerize and orchestrate workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply secure coding standards and remediate vulnerabilities identified through pipeline scans.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints, performing peer reviews and contributing to backlog refinement.

Requirements

• TS/SCI Clearance and DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II Certification.
• U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing applications within DoD or federal environments.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM) and GitLab CI/CD.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Copilot or an approved equivalent AI solution.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Experience with event-driven services using Amazon SQS or Kafka.
• Exposure to Zero Trust architecture and DevSecOps governance.
