What you will do

  • Deliver operational risk assurance reviews from planning to final reporting, ensuring risk-based and evidence-supported work.
  • Define review scope, objectives, and testing approaches in consultation with the Head of Operational Risk.
  • Perform control testing to assess design and operating effectiveness of risk controls.
  • Provide ongoing assurance over RiskSmart items, validating remediation and action closure.
  • Engage with first line stakeholders to obtain evidence and discuss observations.
  • Monitor and report progress on assurance actions and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be able to work hybrid from Milton Keynes, UK office.
  • Experience in operational risk assurance, control testing, or audit in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, assurance testing, and issue management.
  • Experience with GRC systems or issue/action tracking tools.
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple reviews and deliver results under deadlines.
