What you will do

• Post insurance payments and responses (electronic, ERA, or paper) into various client systems.
• Monitor pending amounts due from carriers on a daily basis and take necessary action.
• Review partial and full denials using carrier portals or phone calls to obtain clarification.
• Prepare and follow up on appeals and claims sent for reconsiderations.
• Identify reasons for denials and implement ways to avoid recurring issues.
• Report unresolved items and outstanding amounts to the reimbursement team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in US-based medical billing or a medical practice dealing with billing (credentialing, reimbursement, etc.).
• At least 2 years of college education.
• Must have a backup power supply (extra laptop, powerbank, generator, or power station).
• Must have backup internet (mobile data is not acceptable).
• Excellent verbal, written, and reading comprehension in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
