What you will do

• Manage day-to-day operations for a mixed fleet of 180+ vans and HGVs.
• Serve as the nominated Transport Manager on the Operator Licence, ensuring legal compliance for HGV operations.
• Oversee all servicing, maintenance, MOT, and repair schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Ensure full adherence to UK fleet and road safety regulations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for leasing, fuel, insurance, and parts to reduce fleet costs.
• Handle insurance renewals and manage accident/incident investigations.

Requirements

• Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) — road haulage (HGV) section required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a sizeable mixed van/HGV fleet (100+ vehicles).
• Proven experience as a nominated Transport Manager with deep knowledge of Operator Licence obligations.
• Strong working knowledge of UK fleet compliance for sub-3.5t vehicles.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics.
• Full UK driving license.
