TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (Data Products): Build customer-facing data products for a data platform, including in-dashboard SQL, bulk exports, and AI-powered analytics with an accent on backend services, APIs, and query-layer performance over large datasets. Focus on designing reliable, performant, and secure data-intensive features while collaborating closely with product, design, and data science.

Location: Remote (San Francisco Bay Area)

Salary: $130K–$220K (base) + equity

What you will do

• Build and grow customer-facing data products, including in-dashboard SQL and custom/bulk data exports.
• Develop AI-powered and agentic analytics tools that let users ask questions of their data in natural language.
• Build backend services, APIs, and the query layer powering high-volume, real-time access to large datasets.
• Partner with product and design to translate customer and business needs into reliable, performant, data-intensive features.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building data-intensive products or backend services.
• Proficiency in a backend language (Python, Ruby on Rails, or Go) and comfort shipping end-to-end across the stack.
• Experience building user-facing products or APIs backed by large datasets with strong attention to performance, correctness, and security/PII handling.
• Working familiarity with SQL and analytical data stores (e.g., Snowflake, ClickHouse).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with product and design.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or agentic tooling.
• React experience.
• Google Cloud (GCP) experience.
• Semantic layers experience.
