What you will do

• Perform security reviews and threat modeling for new and existing product surfaces.
• Establish and improve core security processes, including secure SDLC, detection, and response.
• Harden cloud and application infrastructure across AWS and GCP to remediate high-priority risks.
• Define security guardrails and governance for AI agents to prevent prompt-injection and data exposure.
• Support enterprise trust by managing SOC 2 compliance and security questionnaires.
• Partner with product and infra engineering to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4-5+ years of hands-on information security experience.
• Experience working within a startup or early-stage company.
• Strong fundamentals in application and cloud security (AWS/GCP).
• Must be based in San Francisco for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Pragmatic judgment for risk prioritization and a collaborative communication style.

Nice to have

• Experience securing LLM systems or governing AI agent use.
• Knowledge of enterprise compliance standards like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
