Chief Information Security Officer - EU (Web3)

What you will do

• Serve as the designated CISO for hirify.global Europe GmbH, fulfilling regulatory obligations under BaFin, DORA, and MiCA.
• Develop and maintain the information security management system (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and treatment of ICT and information security risks.
• Act as the primary point of contact with BaFin and other EU regulatory bodies for audits and supervisory inquiries.
• Own and oversee incident response and ICT-related incident reporting processes.
• Define and enforce security policies covering network security, access management, and cryptographic asset protection.

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in information security, with 3+ years in a senior/lead CISO role within regulated fintech or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of BaFin, DORA, and MiCA regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience operating under ISO 27001-certified ISMS; CISM or CISSP certification strongly preferred.
• Experience interfacing directly with financial regulators (BaFin or EU equivalents).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Frankfurt.
