Salary: $135,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Define and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets to drive platform reliability.
• Design and operate comprehensive observability systems including metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct blameless postmortems to improve system recovery.
• Engineer automation to eliminate operational toil and improve platform efficiency.
• Design and manage reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Amazon EKS.
• Mentor team members on reliability practices and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determination.
• 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience owning reliability for production systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform.
• Deep command of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and networking.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and zero-trust architecture.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS or CKA/CKS.
