What you will do

• Architect a Kubernetes-native platform that models broadcast infrastructure as custom resources using Crossplane and Go.
• Design and build production-grade Kubernetes operators, controllers, and internal platform APIs.
• Lead the design of cloud networking, DNS strategies, and cross-account connectivity across hybrid AWS environments.
• Partner with broadcast systems engineers to "Puppet-ize" bare-metal compute configurations and integrate vendor solutions.
• Serve as a technical authority by writing RFCs, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Own the platform's authorization model, including hierarchical RBAC systems and identity integrations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and operating production infrastructure and cloud-native platforms at enterprise scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go (systems-level programming) and experience with kubebuilder/controller-runtime.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals, including CRDs, operators, and admission webhooks.
• Deep production experience with Crossplane and AWS multi-account architectures (EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53).
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tooling (Flux or ArgoCD) and Puppet configuration management.
• Must be eligible for US-based employment (based on provided benefits like 401k).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with broadcast/media production workflows and live production constraints.
• Experience with VDI solutions (NICE DCV, Leostream) and PKI certificate management (Venafi).
• Knowledge of hybrid DNS architectures (Infoblox) and software-defined networking (Transit Gateway, CloudWan).
• Active contributions to open-source projects, particularly within the CNCF ecosystem.
