TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (GCP): Designing and maintaining high-scale, high-availability cloud infrastructure on GCP with an accent on automation, orchestration, and system performance. Focus on eliminating manual work through automation and optimizing large-scale clusters for optimal efficiency.

Location: Remote (Poland)

Salary: 22,525 - 25,175 PLN gross/monthly (Employment) or 181 - 202 PLN net/hourly (B2B)

What you will do

  • Design and deliver software for large web-scale infrastructure on GCP/AWS using Terraform.
  • Monitor infrastructure, respond to incidents, and improve systems to prevent future outages.
  • Support system deployments and product releases.
  • Tune large-scale clusters for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management to develop innovative technical tools.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with AWS or GCP.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting.
  • Experience with Java, Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Good English skills.
  • Must be based in or have work authorization for Poland.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Deep knowledge of GCP services (VPC, Cloud SQL, GCS, Stackdriver, GCF).
  • Ability to debug and optimize code to automate routine tasks.
