What you will do

• Lead day-to-day HIPAA privacy operations, including conducting and documenting complex breach and privacy incident investigations.
• Oversee the state privacy law program (CCPA/CPRA), managing DSARs and consent management workflows.
• Triage operational volume and resolve compliance inquiries via intake tools and internal communication channels.
• Provide operational guidance to the compliance team and serve as the primary escalation point for complex questions.
• Oversee clinical and regulatory compliance, including billing, coding, state licensure, and health plan contractual obligations.
• Execute the annual Compliance Work and Audit Plan to identify and remediate potential risks.

Requirements

• Must be based in the continental United States.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare compliance or privacy, specifically within a clinical or medical group environment.
• Deep expertise in HIPAA and HITECH, and strong working knowledge of state privacy laws like CCPA/CPRA.
• Proven track record of managing complex healthcare compliance and privacy investigations from discovery to disposition.
• Experience "operationalizing" rules by building checklists and workflows for operational teams.
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory rules clearly and supportively to members and care teams.
