What you will do

• Manage the month-end close process, including leases, accruals schedules, inventory, and group consolidation.
• Collaborate with engineers and data teams to automate production elements of the finance function.
• Develop and maintain controls to protect financial data and the balance sheet substantiation process.
• Review new products to assess accounting impacts and implement them within the banking platform and SAP S4/HANA.
• Support the year-end process and coordinate with external auditors and the Financial Reporting squad.
• Use SQL to generate reports and propose scalable efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with an audit background.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Strong understanding of key financial controls and the banking/regulatory landscape.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into simple, clear language.
• Experience in financial accounting and control outside of professional practice.
