Data Engineer (Python, AWS)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Python/AWS): Building and owning the data foundation by landing source data into Snowflake and processing it on Databricks for data scientists with an accent on data integration and product telemetry. What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable data integrations to land source data into the platform.
• Ingest and organize data in Snowflake and perform operational processing on Databricks using the Medallion architecture.
• Develop and optimize Spark jobs and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and act as first response for pipeline failures.
• Instrument product usage data and telemetry using tools like Mixpanel, Pendo, and Segment.
• Collaborate with data scientists and innovation teams to evolve data pipelines based on new features.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of strong data engineering experience, ideally within a SaaS or product company.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Terraform (IaC), and Azure DevOps.
• Experience building, monitoring, and owning pipeline quality, including schema management.
• Proven track record of taking initiative in shipping and monitoring data products.
• English: Fluent proficiency is a must.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Antwerp or Barcelona offices (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Experience in ML-adjacent work, such as feeding data for model training.
• Exposure to financial data.
