TL;DR
BI Data Specialist (Azure): Designing, building, testing, maintaining, and supporting BI solutions for Data Science and Data Engineering worldwide with an accent on ETL flows, data models, dashboards, and Azure services. Focus on developing scalable architectures, ensuring compliance and security, and empowering the Data Science team with analytical tools.
Location: Offices in Groot-Bijgaarden (Belgium), Sils (Spain), Kostrzyn-Poznan (Poland), Sintra (Portugal)

What you will do
- Partner with Data Science team and business owners to gather requirements and deliver BI and AI projects using Azure BI landscape and Microsoft Fabric.
- Design, develop, and implement BI applications, data models, ETL flows, dashboards, and authorization models.
- Propose architecture, technical designs, and solutions for business needs, ensuring best practices and compliance.
- Maintain documentation, transfer knowledge to users, and facilitate organizational changes.
- Proactively identify improvements and innovations in Data Science and Data Engineering areas.
- Develop and maintain standards and procedures for BI applications.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of data engineering knowledge.
- Expert knowledge of Azure data services: ADF/Synapse/Azure Batch/Azure Functions/Data Lake & Blob Storage and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Data Modelling (Star/Snowflake, Medallion), ETL/ELT Design, API Integration.
- Understanding of authorizations: IAM/RBAC/AD Groups.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written).
- University degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- BI visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, SAC) and other data solutions (SAP BW/4HANA, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Interest in exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
