What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of data platform reliability, including pipelines, warehousing, and observability.
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow for batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Manage and optimize Snowflake data warehouse resources, schema design, and cost governance.
• Build and maintain transformation layers using dbt, including model design and dependency management.
• Deploy and operate platform services on Kubernetes (EKS) and manage infrastructure via Terraform.
• Implement observability and alerting using Datadog to ensure SLA tracking and system health.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or combined data/infrastructure roles.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Apache Airflow.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for ETL and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with AWS services including RDS and S3.
• Fluency in utilizing AI-based development assistants for code review and debugging.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Amazon Redshift.
• Familiarity with streaming infrastructure like Kafka, Flink, or open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake).
• Knowledge of data quality and lineage tools like Great Expectations or DataHub.
• Experience with Debezium for CDC and managing EKS Spot instances.
• Background in healthcare or veterinary medicine domains.
