Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of data platform reliability, including pipelines, warehousing, and observability.
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines using Airflow for batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Manage and optimize the Snowflake data warehouse, including schema design and cost governance.
• Build and maintain the dbt transformation layer and model design.
• Deploy and operate platform services on Kubernetes (EKS) and manage infrastructure via Terraform.
• Implement observability and SLA tracking using Datadog.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or combined data/infrastructure roles.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog.
• Familiarity with AWS services like RDS and S3.
• Ability to utilize AI-based development assistants for code efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Redshift, Kafka, Flink, or open table formats like Iceberg/Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of data quality tools like Great Expectations or Monte Carlo.
• Background in healthcare or regulated domains.
• Experience with Debezium for CDC.
