Location: Remote, must be based in the US or Canada (NYC preferred).

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 + equity + benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the technical strategy for data engineering, data platforms, and MLOps.
• Build and scale MLOps capabilities including model registries, feature stores, and drift monitoring.
• Modernize legacy infrastructure and increase system reliability for large-scale streaming and batch data.
• Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Partner with Product, Hardware, and Data Science teams to translate business needs into concrete technical roadmaps.
• Establish success criteria for platform capabilities and ensure team accountability for outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software or ML engineering with a focus on data/ML infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience managing ML, Data Engineering, or platform engineering teams.
• Proven track record of building and scaling MLOps capabilities and production-grade data systems.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and uplevel engineering teams with clear expectations and feedback.
• Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical platform work and business outcomes.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
