Senior Technology Designer (Low-Voltage Technology)

Location: Las Vegas, Reno, or Phoenix, United States; up to 25% local and domestic travel required.

Salary: $100,000–$149,000 per year, with potential annual bonuses and stock ownership options.

What you will do

• Lead designs for structured cabling, audiovisual, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
• Develop technical designs, specifications, calculations, analyses, and reports in accordance with codes and hirify.global standards.
• Conduct site assessments and provide limited field issue support.
• Gather requirements from clients, explain technical solutions, and support client relationships and project presentations.
• Review designs and perform final quality control checks while identifying and mitigating safety risks.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and other disciplines while mentoring and training team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in building design consulting, or at least 11 years with an associate degree or certificate in BIM or engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in technical design, specifications, electrical principles, digital and analog signals, and basic IT networking topologies and protocols.
• Strong leadership, training, mentoring, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight or air travel.
