Senior Technology Designer (Low-Voltage ICT)

Location: Las Vegas, NV; Reno, NV; or Phoenix, AZ. Full-time role with up to 25% local and domestic travel, including possible overnight stays and air travel.

Salary: $100,000–$149,000 per year, varying by location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

What you will do

• Lead the design of structured cabling, audiovisual, security, and other low-voltage ICT systems for buildings.
• Develop technical designs, specifications, calculations, analyses, and reports in accordance with codes and company standards.
• Assess sites, review designs, perform quality control, and help resolve limited field issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, consultants, project managers, and clients to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage project budgets, participate in interviews and presentations, and support client relationship development.
• Train and mentor team members while contributing to innovation and emerging technology initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer, related engineering, information technology, computer science, or another related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in building design consulting, with 8 years preferred; alternatively, an associate degree or BIM/engineering certificate with at least 11 years of building design consulting or construction experience.
• Advanced proficiency in technical design, specifications, electrical voltage and current principles, digital and analog signals, and basic IT networking topologies and protocols.
• Strong leadership, training, mentoring, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and quality-control skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
