Salary: £126,000 – £185,000

What you will do

• Design and implement real-time applications and scalable architectures for voice AI and real-time media.
• Build prototype integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications to accelerate customer development.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues within customer production environments.
• Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions with developers and product teams.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve developer experience, documentation, and tooling.
• Contribute code and improvements to the hirify.global open-source ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++.
• Experience working with APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and debug issues in real-world environments.
• Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with customer engineering teams.
• Experience building or integrating developer platforms or real-time systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebRTC, real-time media systems, or telephony/SIP infrastructure.
• Familiarity with voice AI, conversational agents, or AI infrastructure.
• Previous experience in customer-facing engineering roles (e.g., Solutions or Field Engineer).
• Contributions to open-source projects or developer ecosystems.
