TL;DR

Benefits and Leave Partner (HR Operations): Managing the full lifecycle of employee benefits programs and leave of absence cases with an accent on compliance with FMLA, ADA, and ERISA. Focus on ensuring data integrity in HRIS systems, optimizing vendor billing, and providing seamless support for employee benefit inquiries.

Location: Tysons, Virginia. Employees work from the office 4 days a week.

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD

What you will do

  • Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and COBRA.
  • Manage leave of absence cases (FMLA, STD/LTD, military leave) from intake through return-to-work.
  • Oversee accommodation processes and ADA requests in partnership with HR and Legal.
  • Review vendor invoices against contracts and resolve billing discrepancies with Finance and third-party administrators.
  • Lead open enrollment activities, including system testing, communications, and auditing.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state policies (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and/or leave management.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, and state leave laws.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and benefits administration tools.
  • B.A. or B.S. in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Must have valid employment authorization; sponsorship is not available for this position.
