What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop AI-powered experiences including personalization, recommendations, and intelligent search.
• Define the technical direction and establish engineering best practices for AI solutions at scale.
• Bridge the gap between AI research and production engineering to ensure scalable and reliable features.
• Mentor and develop engineers while remaining hands-on with the code for complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to influence architecture and technical strategy.

Requirements

• Significant commercial software engineering experience, including leading technical teams or engineering functions.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Python.
• Proven track record of delivering AI, ML, or LLM-powered applications into production.
• Extensive experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Experience delivering high-performance, real-time systems with demanding latency requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to transition AI solutions from PoC into production-ready services.
