What you will do
- Build scalable backend systems and platforms to ingest, process and distribute inventory across the platform.
- Develop systems supporting supplier connectivity, pricing, and availability freshness.
- Optimize cache and search distribution for AWS-hosted high-performance databases containing billions of items.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and commercial teams to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions.
- Ensure operational excellence, observability, and resilience of production systems.
Requirements
- Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed services in high-throughput environments.
- Proficiency in designing and operating cloud-native platforms.
- Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of messaging infrastructure, streaming technologies, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with APIs and external supplier integrations.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid from the Manchester office (minimum one day every two weeks).
Nice to have
- Interest in AI assisted engineering and agentic coding workflows.
