What you will do

• Define and own the global quality framework, including coverage standards and gate criteria for backend, apps, and web.
• Drive the design and scaling of an AI-assisted, agentic QA pipeline to automate release quality decisions.
• Establish and exercise pre-release veto authority using automated tooling to block releases that do not meet quality gates.
• Enable Stream Aligned Teams (SATs) through documentation, training, and tooling to implement shift-left quality.
• Partner with Platform Engineering on test environments, data management, and integration infrastructure.
• Report on key quality metrics such as defect escape rate, coverage trends, and AI tooling adoption.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering owning frameworks across large organizations.
• Expertise in building multi-level CI/CD quality gates (unit, service, integration, e2e).
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted test tooling, LLM-driven generation, or agentic QA pipelines.
• Proven ability to influence engineering standards through tooling and frameworks without a direct reporting hierarchy.
• Deep understanding of distributed event-driven microservices and contract testing strategies.
• Experience in regulated fintech, payments, or banking, specifically with mobile-first products.

Nice to have

• Production experience with generative AI test tooling.
• Knowledge of Team Topologies (SATs, Platform, and Enabling teams).
• Experience with security testing integration (SAST, DAST).
• Background in Web3, crypto, or blockchain-based systems.
