What you will do

• Test UIs and workflows end-to-end across various loan types and document conditions from a lender's perspective.
• Identify and document bugs, visual glitches, and data inconsistencies before they reach customers.
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports with detailed steps, evidence, and expected behavior.
• Build and maintain a regression test suite combining manual checklists and light automation (Playwright/Cypress).
• Own release readiness by performing pre-release verification and providing sign-offs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams during design reviews to ensure features are testable.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience in mortgage operations (processing, underwriting, closing, or QC).
• Hands-on experience with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, Empower, Byte).
• Strong background in manual test design, exploratory testing, and regression verification.
• Ability to write and maintain simple automation scripts using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency with developer tools, including reading JSON and inspecting API responses.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in team leadership, training, or writing SOPs.
• Experience working within regulated or financial software environments.
• Curiosity and interest in how AI is transforming mortgage workflows.
