Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Reliability Engineer (Aerospace): Supporting the IRST Reliability, Maintainability & Testability team by identifying and resolving electromechanical technical issues and hardware/software integration. Focus on analyzing failure data, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating solutions across engineering, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.

Location: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Position is part-time remote with required attendance at the Orlando, Florida facility.

What you will do

• Identify and resolve electromechanical technical issues and hardware/software integration problems.
• Analyze failure data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Support boards including FRACAS, ESB, ECB, FRB, and CAB.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, program managers, and customers during failure investigations.
• Document technical solutions and write white papers and reports.
• Support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be a US Citizen to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Strong experience with Python or Java.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with FRACAS and root cause analysis.
• Programming experience in C#.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of data architecture, design, and administration.
• Experience with electronic/electromechanical testing and troubleshooting.
