Compensation: $155,000 - $175,000 CAD

What you will do

• Lead IT department operational planning and projects within an Agile environment.
• Take ownership of the information security roadmap and ensure compliance with regulations like PIPEDA, FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Build a security-first culture by conducting training and collaborating with engineering teams on SDLC best practices.
• Liaise with sales and customers to support security-focused aspects of RFPs and data sharing agreements.
• Coordinate major incident responses, post-mortem reviews, and infrastructure improvement recommendations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and career development to the IT team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and available for Eastern Time Zone hours.
• 10+ years of experience in IT with 2+ years in a people management capacity.
• Proven experience leading SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related security audit programs.
• Deep knowledge of web application security, networking, telecom, and server technologies.
• Experience securing production software systems and managing incident lifecycles.
• University or college degree with a technical major (Engineering or Computer Science).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
• Information Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CIPM.
• Network certifications like CCNA or CCNP.
