Senior DevOps/IaC Engineer

TL;DR

Senior DevOps/IaC Engineer: Leading the design, development, and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments with an accent on automation, reproducibility, and security. Focus on architecting scalable IaC components, implementing GitOps practices, and providing expert technical guidance in client-facing scenarios.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Tres Cantos/Madrid, Spain. The role follows a hybrid working model with 8 weeks of remote work allowed outside the usual geographical area.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of IaC architecture across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Ensure end-to-end automation of the infrastructure lifecycle from provisioning to maintenance.
• Enforce DevOps best practices including CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing, and integrated security.
• Standardize and modularize infrastructure components to ensure scalability and reusability.
• Coordinate with development, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Participate in client meetings to align architectural decisions with functional and performance requirements.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience with Terraform (HCL) including modules, state management, and security.
• Strong background in Ansible for orchestration, roles, and dynamic inventories.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider and virtualization technologies like VMware or OpenStack.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Must be eligible to work in Spain or willing to relocate to Spain.
