What you will do

• Build full-stack AI prototypes to pressure-test venture ideas before founder handoff.
• Design AI systems using composable building blocks like retrieval, prompting, and agentic workflows.
• Define and implement evaluation loops for AI behavior, including factuality, safety, and cost.
• Collaborate with product thinkers and designers to iterate on concepts based on user feedback.
• Direct frontier coding agents to turn technical intent into working software while maintaining architectural quality.
• Troubleshoot issues across the full stack, including frontend, backend, and data pipelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of production AI applications.
• Demonstrated experience building applications using LLMs or multimodal models.
• Strong technical fluency across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud deployment.
• Expert ability to work with frontier coding agents and decompose complex technical work.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL data systems for application modeling and retrieval.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping MVPs or early-stage products under ambiguity.
• Background as a technical lead, architect, or founding engineer on AI-driven products.
• Contributions to open-source AI, developer tools, or applied ML infrastructure.
