What you will do

• Design and deploy agentic LLM systems for task planning and multi-step workflows.
• Own the end-to-end RAG pipeline, including document ingestion, chunking, and hybrid retrieval.
• Manage and evolve embedding models and vector database infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate research into shippable features.
• Implement evaluation suites and observability tools to ensure AI safety and performance.
• Write maintainable, tested code and contribute to reliability practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with modern LLMs.
• Proven track record of taking LLM/RAG systems from prototype to production.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Strong grasp of SQL, schema design, and data pipelines.
• Must have overlap with Pacific Time Zone working hours.

Nice to have

• Startup experience in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with responsible AI, red-teaming, and safety policies.
• Practical experience with fine-tuning (SFT/LoRA).
